New grid station in Bandipora to be commissioned soon

Bandipora, Feb 14:The power crisis in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district would likely come to an end in last week of this month, as the Putushay, Bandipora grid station is all set to be commissioned this week.Talking to wire service—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Deputy Commissioner Bandipora, Shabaz Mirza said that the work over the said grid station is almost complete and the concerned Power Development Department (PDD) department are currently going ahead with the testing of transmission-line on next Thursday.He further said that the power shortage in Bandipora will come to an end soon after the transmission line is commissioned.As per details available with KNO, the said project has two components viz 50 MVA, 132/33 KV grid station and 132 KV D.C Transmission line.
