Srinagar: J&K Police on Thursday recovered 15 Kgs of poppy straw during a raid in Pulwama.
Police Station Litter on a tip off raided the house of one Gulzar Ahmad Bhat son of Ghulam Nabi Bhat at Litter Pulwama in south Kashmir and recovered 15 Kgs of Poppy straw.
However, the accused person has managed to escape from the spot.
“Acting swiftly, a Police Party alongwith concerned Magistrate conducted a raid at a specific location during which 15 Kgs of Poppy Straw was recovered from the said residential house”, police said.
Police have registered a case under relevant sections of law in Police Station Litter and investigation has been initiated.
