Srinagar: At least 10 personnel of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) were injured, when their vehicle skidded off the road and turned turtle in Shopian on Monday, Police said.
They said a Bullet Proof bunker vehicle of CRPF 178 Bn carrying troops was on its way to the camp location at Zainapora in South Kashmir’s Shopian District, after routine duty.
The driver lost control over the vehicle due to some technical fault and it skidded off the road and turned turtle, resulting in injuries to 10 CRPF personnel.
All the injured were shifted to Hospital for treatment and six out of 10 were discharged from the hospital after providing treatment.
Police also denied that some “unconfirmed and misled information” has been circulated in the media, mentioning an attack on CRPF party at Shopian.
“It is clarified that the information shared in the social media is wrong and not based on facts,” police added.
