J&K Bank dedicates ambulance for student welfare to BGSBU under CSR initiative

Jammu, Feb 22: J&K Bank, towards its commitment to support student welfare dedicated an ambulance to the Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University Rajouri. Bank’s Zonal Head for Rajouri and Poonch Mohd Shafi Salroo handed over the keys of the ambulance to the Vice Chancellor Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University Dr Javed Mussarat in presence of Prof Iqbal Parwez Dean Academic Affairs, Registar Dr Ashfaq Ahmed Zarri, Prof G.M. Malik Dean of students, Prof Mohd Aagher Dean Engineering, Prof Naseem AhmedDean Management, Mohd Ishaq Controller of Examinations, senior bank officials, faculty members and a large gathering of students in a simple but impressive function held at BGSBU Rajouri.
Vice ChancellorDr Javed Mussarat while acknowledging the proactive role played by J&K Bank in socio economic empowerment of the people in Jammu and Kashmir expressed his gratitude to the Bank for providing state of the art doorstep banking facilities to the faculty and students besides collaborating on multitude of initiatives of the University.The Vice Chancellor added,“The ambulance dedicated under CSR initiative by the Bank shall be of immense help not only for the students and staffof the university but also for the locals hailing from this hilly area. I have every hope that the relation with J&K Bank will touch new heights under the dynamic leadership of Parvez Ahmed Chairman and CEO J&K Bank who is very keen on fostering industry academia partnership in the state for the betterment of the society by harnessing intellectual capabilities”.
Speaking on the occasion the Bank’s Zonal Head said, “J&K Bank as a premier flagship company of the state functions not only as a commercial institution, but as a responsible Corporate Citizen alsounderstands its responsibility for upgradation of social infrastructure in the state. Bank has under taken many CSR initiatives in the state, particularly in the institutions of higher learning for wellbeingof students.The dedication of ambulance to BGSBU further emphasizes Bank’s continued commitment towards causes of social relevance.”
