Veeri while meeting various delegations in Anantnag was appraised over the worrisome situation caused in Kashmir valley and particularly in South Kashmir due to the paddy blast disease in the farms.
Veeri was also informed about how at the time of the harvesting season in Kashmir such a disease has caused heavy toll on the livelihood of the farming community which is already gasping for survival after the catastrophic floods of 2014 and then due to ill-effects of the climate change.
