Srinagar, Jul 22: PDP dissident and MLA from Noorabad constituency Abdul Majeed Padder on Sunday said that PDP dissidents are not facing any kind of pressure from either NIA or any other quarter in Delhi and appealed all likeminded MLAs to come together for formation of a new government in Jammu and Kashmir.
Talking to reporters on the sidelines of a function, Padder said that Governor rule is not an alternative to popular government and particularly the time when more two and a half years are left for the completion of the full year term of six years for the present assembly. He called upon all likeminded MLAs irrespective of their party affiliations to come together and form a new government in Jammu and Kashmir. He said that neither the NIA nor any other quarter is exerting pressure on dissident MLAs for quitting PDP and formation of new government in Jammu and Kashmir.
Padder said “I have asked my party workers to celebrate the foundation day of PDP at the local level in Noorabad. We are committed to revive PDP in the form it was built up by its founder late Mufti Mohammad Sayeed. I have urged PDP president Mehbooba Mufti to initiate action against the four people who have hijacked the party so that the party built up by Mufti Mohammad Sayeed can work on the mission and vision of late leader.
