Jammu/Srinagar, May 24: Two policemen and a civilian were injured in a grenade blast at Jammu Bus Stand on Thursday night.
A top police official said that that two policemen and a civilian sustained splinter injuries in the blast. “Preliminary investigations revealed that the grenade was lobbed on the police party resulting in injuries to two cops,” the official added.
Meanwhile, suspected militants on Thursday evening lobbed a grenade towards a paramilitary CRPF camp at Safakadal area of Srinagar city.
A police officer said that the militants hurled a grenade on 161 bn CRPF camp at Braripora, Safakadal. However, the device missed the target and exploded outside the sentry post along the roadside.
In the blast four vehicles including two auto rickshaws, one santro and a school bus suffered damage, the officer said.
There was no injury to any person in the incident, the officer said.
