Jammu, Feb 14: The officers of Industries and Commerce Department in particular and the KAS officers’ fraternity have lauded the decision of the Industries and Commerce Department to rescind Govt Order No: 58-ind of 2018 dated 9/2/2018 stressing that the move would do away with the discontent that had resulted among the senior Functional Managers and Project Managers who had been ignored in assignment of the charge of the posts of General Managers of DICs of various districts.
The officers expressed their gratitude to the Minister for I&C and the Commissioner /Secretary to Govt., I&C, department for the prompt redressal of their grievance with regard to the issue, saying that this shall go a long way in keeping them motivated to ensure a better delivery of public services at all levels. They also thanked the other officers of the Department for their role in rectifying the Departmental error of assigning charge of the higher posts to the Junior officers. The Officers’ Delegation that met with the Minister and the Commissioner/Secretary were all praise for the same consideration with which their grievances were treated and the swiftness with which the error was rectified. The officers look forward to their continued support and invaluable contribution in steering the Department in the right direction and towards higher levels of achievement. (KNS)
