Jammu, Feb 7: Minister for Public Works, Naeem Akhtar today informed the House that the 30 km road from Bandipora to Razdan Top has been blacktopped and the matter for blacktopping of remaining from Razdan Top to Gurez has been taken up with Project BEACON and would be completed soon.
Replying to a question of legislator Sofi Mohammad Yousuf, the Minster informed that the government has included Pahalgam to Aru road in Central Road Fund (CRF).
He further said the government would expedite the construction of Kalshi Payeen Tulail Kahspot road which has been sanctioned under PMGSY Phase-X and habitations of Kilshi-I, Kilshi-2, Refuji-1 and Refuji-2 fall en-route the road. The work on road would be started after forest clearance, he added.
Related to Bandipora to Tulail and Kalshi Payeen road, the Minister informed that total length of Dawar-Kaobul Gali road is 73.40 km, out of which 12 km road length has been blacktopped. The road from National Highway-IA Sangam to Serigufwara via Khiram has been approved under CRF, he stressed.
