Jammu, Nov 26: A delegation of Gujjars on Sunday met Centre’s special representative Dineshwar Sharma and demanded that Article 370 and Article 35-A not be touched in Jammu and Kashmir.
A five-member delegation of Gujjars and Bakerwal Tribal Community of Jammu and Kashmir led by Haji Mohammad Rafiq on Sunday Morning met Sharma and submitted him a charter of demands.
The Gujjars demanded that Article 370 and Article 35-A not be abrogated from the state.
They also sought better health and educational facilities in mobile schools, colonies with facilities for the community, land for grazing cattle, livestock.
They also raised issue of special reservation for Gujjars in political set up.
In two days, Sharma met nearly 30 delegations.
On Saturday he visited to Reasi and met Talwara migrants.
Sharma listened to their grievances and assured redressal to their problems.
The interlocutor on Friday afternoon arrived here and visited Jagti Migrants camp to meet Kashmiri Pandit community.
