COVID-19: India’s tally surges past 6.2 lakhs, death toll at 18213

New Delhi, July 3: India’s novel coronavirus tally surged to 625544 on Friday as it registered a record breaking single-day spike of 20903 infections.

According to the health ministry, the death toll across the country have now reached 18213 after 379 more people lost their battle to the virus.

However, with the improving recovery rate in the country, 379892 cases have so far been cured and discharged, which are 152453 more than that of the cases under active medical supervision in the country which stands at 227439.
