India’s COVID-19 tally jumps past 1.3 lakh

 

New Delhi, May 24: With the third consecutive tallest single-day spike of infections, India’s COVID tally jumped to 1,31,868 as 6767 fresh cases were reported in past 24 hours, the Health Ministry update said on Sunday.

 

According to the government update, after 147 patients losing their fight against the lethal infection in the past one day, death toll across the nation now stands at 3867.

 

The cases under active medical supervision have increased to 73,560 while there has been improvement on the recovery front, as 2657 people have been cured and discharged in the past 24 hours, taking the total survivors to 54,440 pan India so far.
