COVID-19: 5 test positive in Kathua

Jammu, May 12: Five new cases of COVID-19 were reported on Tuesday in Basholi area of Kathua district in Jammu and Kashmir.
SSP Kathua Shailendra Kumar Mishra on his Twitter handle wrote, “today morning 05 more tested +ve frm Basholi. Tally 11 and active in the district.”
Mishra further wrote, “all were in Quarantine centres. Active testing, Lakhanpur corridor helping in identifying and containing the spread. Let’s continue the good work and be vigilant.”
The total positive cases in J&K UT on Monday was 879. Kathua district being border of J&K-Punjab, is facilitating the return of people stranded outside and have also established quarantine centres in the district besides screening camps at Lakhanpur.
