New Delhi, May 11: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday held a meeting with chief ministers of various states, through video conferencing, emphasising on continuing with measures to prevent spread of Corona virus infection.

Sources said that at a meeting with chief ministers of various states, his fifth meeting with the chief ministers since announcement of lockdown, the PM emphasized that there should not be any slackening of measures to prevent spread of Corona virus infection.

The sources said that the PM, while noting that India has been largely successful in fight against #COVID19, stressed that we will face problems if we slack in maintaining social distancing.

The sources said that uppermost on the agenda of the meeting is how to restart economic activity in the country.

The Centre has said that the lockdown will be lifted in phased manner in areas other than the areas that are in containment zones.

Over the last few weeks, many states have eased restrictions in Green and Orange Zones, allowing opening of areas like agriculture, construction activity and MNREGA.
