JK situation: Security officials brief Home Minister

Srinagar, May 10: The top officials of security establishments met Home Minister Amit Shah and briefed him about the overall security situation of Jammu and Kashmir.

Sources told news agency KINS that the top officials of security forces including those of security establishments of Jammu and Kashmir Union territory met Union Home Minister Amit Shah in New Delhi and briefed him about the overall security situation of Jammu and Kashmir.

Sources said that Home Minister was given a detailed briefing on the prevailing security situation of Jammu and Kashmir, particularly about the situation along International Border and the Line of Control.

It is in place to mention here that National Security Adviser Ajit Doval on Saturday carried out a complete operational review of the security situation in Jammu and Kashmir and told top army commanders and paramilitary forces to tighten the counter-infiltration grid along the Line of Control with Pakistan, and the counter-insurgency grid in the Kashmir.
