COVID-19: Building at Old Air Field Military station turned into health facility in Srinagar

Srinagar, May 3: A building at old Air Field Military Station in Srinagar has been converted into a Health Care Facility to accommodate 250 patients with special provisions for 14 Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and 32 High Dependency Unit (HDUs), a Defence ministry spokesman said.

He said the Chinar Corps and Jammu and Kashmir civil administration has taken the initiative of converting the building, which has the capacity to accommodate 250 patients with special provisions for 14 ICU beds and 32 HDU beds.

The Union Territory of J&K recorded 666 Corona cases—606 in the Kashmir and 60 in Jammu. However, presently only 404 are active—396 in the Kashmir valley and eight in Jammu.

Officials said that 254 patients have recovered while eight lost their battle.
