‘Robotic Health Worker’ designed to contain COVID-19 disease by Civil Engineering student Mir Mudaiser

Srinagar: On the Governments ‘Innovation Challenge’ call Mir Mudaiser Maqbool civil engineering student accepted challenge and developed a ‘Robotic Health Worker’ to assist the COVID-19 patients in supplying medicines sans nurse.
Mudaiser from Shuhama Alustang district Ganderbal of Kashmir is final year student of Govt. Engineering College of Jalgaon Maharashtra, India. While talking to Precious Kashmir correspondent about his Robotic Health worker development Mir said, “we are facing a common enemy COVID-19 pandemic deadlier than ever before. Therefore, it’s our moral and obligatory responsibility to unify in these high times to contribute individually as well and collectively to combat corona-virus epidemic which has created horror so far in the world around.”
“‘Robotic Health worker’ is a robot who can be a substitute of nurse in supplies of necessities of medicine to patients of COVID-19 for ensuring of protection of healthcare workers in the hospitals who are warriors against epidemic these days. Robot Groot 1.0 design is a basic prototype of it, in the next level will develop necessarily elements to work in future endurance to fight COVID-19 pandemic”, said Mir Mudaiser.
In addition, it can check temperature of the patient efficiently that will reflect in the mobile of the concerned doctor because of sensors used, therein the Robot is programmed to talk necessary to the patients and it is the best way to containing disease to spread in community, he said.
Lockdown acknowledged dismay overall commodities available in the market. Notwithstanding Mudaiser and his collegue Mohd Adeel challenged it and whatever raw material was available at home to design of any quality and somehow managed to build it, he further added.
“At the time of presentation I couldn’t reach to the NIT Kashmir department because of this severe lockdown as I have no passes, stayed indoors. NIT Kashmir take my design and ask to present tomorrow without giving any pass or document”, he said.
Responding to question what will be his next step on Robot. “Our job for Robotic Health worker is almost done. Now government needs to take on it if they need its mass production. My next focus is on to add ventilator to it and what will be possible outcome of my prototype of including ventilator, I will inform accordingly”, he replied.
