New Delhi, Apr 21: With 1,336 fresh cases reported in past 24 hours, the total number of novel coronavirus cases in the country soared to 18601 on Tuesday along with 590 deaths.
According to the Ministry of Health and Family welfare data, there is an improvement in the number of cured and discharged cases with the figure for now resting at 3251.
Comparing the casualties with yesterday’s data, 41 people have lost their lives in past 24 hours.
Active COVID cases in the country at present stand at 14,759.
The Government had on Monday asserted that the country ‘s doubling rate of COVID-19 has now slowed down from 3.4 days to 7.5 days.
