Jammu, Apr 17: Militants and security forces exchanged fire in Dachan area of Kishtwar district on Friday, police said.
A police spokesman said: “Four days back two SPOs of Kishtwar District were attacked by two suspects of Dachan area with axes, killing one and injuring another. Police parties rushed and gave a chase through jungles and mountainous terrain. They were reinforced with additional police parties and local Army unit. Some time back contact established and exchange of fire started. Details shall follow.”
