COVID-19 cases near 12000 mark in India

Death toll 392, 1343 cured

New Delhi, Apr 15: The Novel Coronavirus cases on Wednesday evening came close to the 12000 mark, with the number of deaths reaching 392, with 15 more deaths since morning, according to the government data.

 

Active COVID cases in the country have also jumped to 10197, while the number of cured cases in the country are now 1343, according to the Health ministry data.

 

The worst COVID-hit state in the country Maharashtra again witnessed a spike in the cases on Wednesday with the numbers rising to 2687 and death toll mounting to 178, followed by the national capital housing 1561 cases and 30 deaths.

 

The numbers have also seen a rise in Tamil Nadu and Rajasthan, with figures standing at 1204 and 1005, respectively while in Madhya Pradesh, the cases have spiked to 987 with 53 deaths.

 

The cases have increased at a fast pace in Maharashtra, Delhi, Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh in the past two days.
