COVID-19: Positive cases cross 11,000 mark in India; 377 deaths, 1,305 cured so far

New Delhi, Apr 15: Novel coronavirus cases on Wednesday morning crossed 11,000 in the country and reached 11439, as per the Health Ministry data.
With 24 fresh casualties reported since Tuesday evening, the toll has risen to 377.
Active COVID cases in the country have also jumped to 9,756 with 484 new cases reported since last evening.
Number of cured and discharged cases of COVID-19 are now at 1,305 across the nation, the data said.
The worst hit state in the country Maharashtra again witnessed a spike in the cases on Tuesday morning with confirmed cases rising to 2,687 and ten new deaths taking the toll to 170 so far, followed by the National Capital now housing 1,561 cases and 30 deaths.
Numbers have also seen a rise in Tamil Nadu and Rajasthan with figures standing at 1,204 and 969 respectively while in Madhya Pradesh the cases stand at 730 with 50 casualties.
The number of cases have increased at a fast pace in Maharashtra, Delhi, Tamil Nadu and Rajasthan in the past two to three days.
