Srinagar, Apr 12: Suspected militants on Sunday shot at a former Territorial Army (TA) soldier in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
A police officer told GNS that the suspected militants fired upon Abdul Hamid Matoo at Buchroo village this evening.
Hamid, suffered serious bullet wounds and was rushed to Primary Health Centre (PHC) Qaimoh for treatment where from he was referred to GMC Anantnag in critical condition. A doctor at PHC Qaimoh said that Hamid had received two bullet wounds.
Soon after the incident, the officer said security forces launched a hunt to nab the assailants.
