Lockdown: PM Modi holds meeting with CMs to decide future course of action

New Delhi, Apr 11: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday held a meeting, via video conferencing, with Chief Ministers of all the states to determine the future course of action on the current lockdown in the country.
In his meeting with the Chief Ministers, the PM, along with CMs, was seen wearing a mask.
The meeting comes amid an increased outbreak of coronavirus cases in the country as the number of cases crossed the 7000 milestone.
More than 200 people across the country have died due to this deadly virus..
Two states, Odisha and Punjab have already extended the lockdown for 15 more days.
CMs of other states like Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has also expressed the need to extend the lockdown.
Pertinent to mention here that, in an earlier meeting with the leaders of opposition parties, the Prime Minister had said that the current situation is akin to a social emergency.
