COVID-19: Confirmed cases rise to 4421 in India, 114 deaths, 325 cured so far

New Delhi, Apr 7: With a spike in fresh cases since last evening, confirmed cases of Novel Coronavirus in the country on Tuesday morning stood at 4421, according to the Health Ministry data.

Currently, the active COVID-19 cases in the country stand at 3981, according to the Health Ministry.

The total deaths in the country due to the deadly virus now stand at 114, including three fresh casualties since last evening.

So far, 325 cases have been cured and discharged, it said.

According to the Health ministry, 1445 cases out of the total are related to the Tablighi Jamaat.

Around 25500 Jamaat workers and their contacts have been quarantined, while 1750 foreign Tablighi workers have been blacklisted, the MHA had said.

In the past two to three days, confirmed cases have rapidly spiked in Maharashtra , Delhi , Tamil Nadu and Telangana, according to the government data.

There are 748 cases in Maharashtra, 621 in Tamil Nadu and 525 in Delhi. (UNI)
