Pak violates ceasefire in KG sector of Poonch’

Rajouri/ Poonch, Apr 3: Six security forces personnel were injured after Pakistani army resorted to “unprovoked firing” along the Line of Control (LoC) in Sunderbani sector of Rajouri district in Jammu and Kashmir on Friday.

A police official told GNS that the Pakistani troops resorted to firing of small arms and shelling with mortars in Dadal, Malla area of Sunderbani sector early morning today.

“In the shelling, four army soldiers and two BSF personnel manning the fence suffered injuries,” the officer said, adding that the Indian Army retaliated befittingly.

Meanwhile, the armies of India and Pakistan traded fire in Krishna Ghati sector of Poonch district this evening.

Pakistan resorted to unprovoked ceasefire violation in Krishna Ghati sector of the Poonch district at around 5:00 pm by firing of small arms and shelling with mortars, an army officer said, adding that the soldiers manning the fence retaliated strongly. (GNS)
