Kashmir’s first COVID-19 case recovers; Lockdown continues for 15th day

Srinagar, Apr 2: Kashmir continued to remain under lockdown for the 15th consecutive day on Wednesday. The restrictions were put in place across the Valley after a woman from Khanyar area tested positive and became the first COVID-19 case.
The woman was moved to SKIMS Soura here for treatment. She has recovered and tested negative. She has been discharged from the hospital with an advice she should remain in 14-day home quarantine.
Meanwhile, people continue to remain confined within their homes to contain the spread of Coronavirus. The  number of COVID-19 positive cases in Kashmir surged to 50 on Wednesday, with seven more testing positive.
J&K UT spokesman Rohit Kansal yesterday said that there are 48 active positive cases in Kashmir. So fat COVID-19 has claimed lives of two people in Kashmir.
