Maharashtra reports 320 COVID-19 cases, 12 deaths

Pune, Apr 1: Sixteen more people have tested positive for COVID-19 in Mumbai, taking the total number of infected cases to 320 in the state on Wednesday.

Two fresh cases have also been reported in Pune today. The virus has taken 12 lives till now in the State.

The officials from Pune City Police and Pimpri-Chinchwad police have begun a crackdown on people found breaking lockdown rules.

Pune Police officials said that they have taken action against over 1,100 people in the last two days.

Police have also seized about 800 vehicles as vehicle movement is not allowed during the lockdown, except for those engaged in essential services or those having police pass for emergency cases.
