Actual cases of Covid 19 could be more, stay at home, DC Srinagar warns people

Srinagar:  Urging people to stay indoors, the Srinagar administration on Wednesday said that the doctors suggest actual cases in community could probably be more than those tested positive for Coronavirus.

Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Shahid Iqbal Choudhary also asked people to report to designated hospitals if they have symptoms or travel history.

“Doctors suggest actual cases in community could probably be more than those tested positive. For heaven’s sake stay at homes and report to designated hospitals if you have symptoms /travel history. Consult on phone before visiting Hospital. Please. Spread the word. #BreakTheChain,” Dr Choudhary wrote on micro-blogging site twitter.

Dr Choudhary said flood of messages about travelers, who concealed travel history, are coming in. “Flood of messages about travelers who concealed travel history; and about contacts. I wish such people acted responsibly. Those appeals weren’t without reason. Control room & teams having tough time,” he said.

Three more persons were on Tuesday tested positive for Coronavirus in Kashmir valley, bringing the total number of infected people to four. However, officials said that the 67-year-old women, who was the first person to be tested positive for Coronavirus in Kashmir valley, has been treated successfully.
