PM Modi to address nation tonight on vital aspects of COVID-19

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the nation at 2000 hours on Tuesday on vital aspects related to the coronavirus outbreak.

‘Will address the nation at 8 PM today, 24th March 2020, on vital aspects relating to the menace of COVID-19″, the Prime Minister Modi tweeted.

This is his second address to the nation since March 19, when he called for a “Janata Curfew” on March 22 to fight the spread of coronavirus.

Mr Modi had appealed to the people to express gratitude for health and essential services workers by ringing bell or clapping for 5 minutes at 1700 hours.

But at 1700 hours, people gathered on streets in several cities, beating plates and blowing conch shells, despite restrictions imposed in view of ‘Janata Curfew’ to arrest the spread of the virus.

“Many people are still not taking the lockdown seriously. Please save yourself, save your family, follow the instructions seriously. I request state governments to ensure rules and laws are followed,” the Prime Minister tweeted in Hindi on Monday.

The Prime Minister is keeping a close eye on the situation arising out of the outbreak of the pandemic and monitoring situation everyday.
