SRINAGAR: The government on Monday issued a slew of directions towards mitigating the transmission of COVID-19 in Jammu and Kashmir.
The directions to be implemented by all regional Transport Officer, Assistant Regional Transport Officers, of Motor Vehicles Department calls upon all RTOs, ARTOs to ensure that all the public transport operating in their territorial jurisdiction shall be sanitized with the prescribed disinfectants at all regular intervals as prescribed by the Ministry of Health and Family welfare, Government of India.
“They shall also ensure necessary briefing and sensitization of drivers/cleaners through their staff, Moreover, the Presidents of Bus stands / Sumo stands / Auto Stands shall also be involved for awareness of their staff, drivers and clearness,” reads the order issued transport commissioner Pradeep Kumar.
“All RTOs /ARTOs shall ensure that no trail test/learning test of the driving licenses s be conducted till 31st of March 2020,” says the order, a copy of which lies with Srinagar based news agency.
