Power crisis irks Anantnag villages

Anantnag: Residents of Kamad, Lalan, Chrcripora villages of Anantnag district are up in arms against Power Department for unscheduled power cuts.
The residents have accused the Power Department of failing regular power supply to them.
“We don’t receive electricity as per the power schedule. Frequent power cuts have become a daily routine now,” said a resident of Kamad. “Our exams are going on and due to shortage of power supply, we have to face a lot of hardships. We have been repeatedly asking authorities to redress our problems; but to no avail,” the students from these villages saidThey accused the Power Department of failing to provide them electricity as per the schedule.
