Cousin Bothers Slip To Death In River Chenab

RAMBAN: Two boys slipped to death on Sunday morning in a river in Ramban district of Jammu and Kashmir.
A police said News Trust that two boys were crossing Chenab river, when they slipped and drowned in the river near Magarkote area of Ramsu, Ramban.
Locals and police launched a rescue operation, but managed to retrieve only one body while the search for the another boy is underway.
The police official identified the two boys as Abid Ahmed Manhas (15) and Touqeer Ahmed Manhas. “The body of Abid has been handed over to the family while efforts are on to retrieve the body of Touqeer,” Station House Officer Ramban Police Station Javaid Iqbal said.
He added that the boys were related to each other and were cousins. (KNT)
