Bihar CM directs DGP and CS to repeal section 144 imposed in some districts due to corona

Patna: Amid various precautionary measures to prevent spread of corona virus, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today appealed to the people not be panicked and expressed anguish over distribution of face mask by some of the legislators.
The CM also directed the State Director General of Police and Chief Secretary to repeal section 144 imposed in some of the districts saying that distribution of mask and imposition of section 144 would result into panicky among the common people.
He appealed to the people to remain alert and announced the government would bear the treatment cost of corona patients.
He also announced to pay an ex-gratia of Rs 4 lakh from CM relief fund to the kith in case of death due to corona virus.
He said that the government was alert and the borders along Indo- Nepal adjoining Bihar was being screened at 49 spots. Special vigil was being maintained at the airports where each and every person was being screened thoroughly.
