Jammu: Jammu and Kashmir Government on Friday suspended the nodal officer of Coronavirus due to dereliction of duties.
Government spokesman here said that the administration has suspended Nodal Officer, Coronavirus Control, J&K Shafqat Khan, for dereliction of duties.
“He was placed under suspension with immediate effect today for dereliction of duties,” he added.
Meanwhile the Twitter handler of Directorate of Public Relations Department has also confirmed the suspension of the officer.
“Dr Shafkat Khan, Nodal Officer Coronavirus Control Efforts placed under suspension with immediate effect for dereliction of duties,” DIPR wrote on the micro-blogging site.
