Srinagar: At least six shops were gutted on Monday night in a blaze at Zadibal area in Srinagar city, causing damage to property of worth lakhs.
As per the locals, the fire broke out at Alamgari Bazar in Zadibal area OF Srinagar city on Monday night and cause heavy damage to 6 shops in the area.
They said fire tenders reached the spot and doused the flames but damage was already done by the fire inside the shops.
As per the officials at Fire and Emergency Department Kashmir said that after receiving the inputs of fire on Monday night, the tenders reached the spot and doused the flames.
“The cause of fire was due to can be short circuit and later the fire spread to adjacent shops in the area,” the official said adding that police has started investigation in the case.
