Two Soldiers Injured In Loc Firing At Rajouri

Rajouri: Two soldiers were injured in two separate incidents on Line of Control in Nowshera sector of Rajouri district whereas armies of India and Pakistan continue to exchange gunfire in Nowshera and Mendhar sectors.   An army man deployed on a forward location in Rajouri’s Nowshera sector received injuries when cross LoC firing took place in Jhanger area in the intervening night of Monday and Tuesday.

“Injured soldier was shifted to army hospital where he is under treatment whereas both armies exchanged gunfire for around two hours in the midnight hours,” said sources. Another soldier deployed on the forward location in the said area got injured in a low scale explosion suspected to be explosion of anti-personal land mine. “Injured with minor injuries have been shifted to army hospital,” said sources.

Meanwhile, both the armies of India and Pakistan also exchanged gunfire on Line of Control in Mendhar sector in the intervening night of Monday and Tuesday. “Both sides exchanged gunfire for around an hour on LoC in the area,” sources said further informing that there are no reports of any injury or loss.
