Budgam: An encounter broke out between militants and security forces at Chadoora area of Central Kashmir’s Budgam district, police said.
According to According to wire service–Kashmir News Observer (KNO), a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) was launched in Zenipora village of Chadoora in this evening.
They said that during the search operation, the hiding militants fired upon the search party, which was retaliated, thus leading to a gunfight. Officials further stated that the gunfight is going on and Army’s 53 RR and police are on job. “Intermittent exchange of firing was going on till this report was filed,” a top official told KNO.
