Aspirants demand implementation of Kashmir subject at secondary level

Srinagar, Feb 21: A delegation of the aspirants of Kashmiri subject students on Thursday appealed governor lead administration for the introduction of Kashmiri subject at secondary level in schools across Jammu and Kashmir.They said in 2014, Secretary school education department, had sought response concerned authorities regarding introduction of Kashmiri subject at +2 level and creation of new posts, but till date nothing has been done in this regard. Abdul Majeed, who was heading the delegation, told JKNS that Jammu and Kashmir State Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has also already completed all formalities regarding formulation of syllabus of Kashmiri subject for 11th and 12th classes.

“We are moving from pillar to post and nothing has been done in the regard,” he said adding that then Kashmiri subject should be cancelled in state universities if there is no scope for it.Another aspirant Mohammad Iqbal told JKNS that they  have already met Advisor to Lt. Governor, and other concerned officials although and have submitted their proposal but there was no response.
