SMC holds Revenue Week

Srinagar, Feb 14 : A press handout issued by Srinagar Municipal Corporation said hundrends of business establishments/ shops in different zones of the City were registered in the ongoing’ revenue week’.“The zonal revenue officers and ward officers were directed to identify the unauthorized shops and other business units in their respective zones during the week long programme, press statement said. “After providing forms and getting basic formalities done by the shopkeepers, SMC registered more than 100 shops on spot, said press release quoted Chief Revenue Officer SMC.Commissioner SMC Gazanfer Ali stated that such move will help to encourage people to come forward and bring in legality for all those unauthorized shops who are yet to get registered with SMC.He further appealed tall those unregistered business units including schools, shopkeepers, saloons etc to approach their concerned ward officers.
