Union Ministers who visited J&K submit report to PMO

Srinagar: A report based on the inputs of 30 union ministerial delegation during their visit to J&K has been compiled by the Home Ministry.

In Janaury, the central ministers visited J&K to access the ground situation and interact with the locals regarding various development schemes.

The Ministers have given their opinion and suggestions on various issues regarding developmental activity in J&K and issues concerning the youth, an official said.

He added that first priority would be development of far flung areas.

He also said a performa was set up by PMO and ministers were asked to submit their suggestions and findings accordingly.

During their public interactions, the ministers got first hand appraisal about local roads, health care facilities, power, unemployment and education sector.

Notably, the ministers visited J&K following a directive from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who wanted an honest feedback about various welfare schemes being implemented by the Union Territory administration.  (KNS)
