Dozens of NC Sarpanchs join PDP
Anantnag, Jul 31: People’s Democratic Party Chief Spokesperson and Former MLA Pahalgam Rafi Ahmad Mir said that PDP is committed to end the political instability in Jammu and Kashmir. Mir was welcoming dozens of Sarpanches and party workers of National Conference into the party fold.
Stating that PDP had offered its unconditional support to all regional political parties to rise above politics and to ensure that a consensus is evolved in addressing the growing political insecurity, Mir said that “there are larger issues of political insecurity that are highly questionable, it is beyond the rumor-mongering and the absence of an elected government, a consensus needs to be evolved on various political issues”.
On this occasion, Mir urged the party cadre to launch a vast contact program and reach out to the masses. Maintaining that party workers and activists have to play a key role in strengthening the party, Mir said that the party activists have to work at grassroots for restoring party’s vibrant identity in the state.
Mir said, “People feel politically alienated due to broken promises of the leaders and all regional parties needed to rise to the occasion and ensure justice through public service.”
Mir said that “PDP has an inclusive roadmap for the development of Pahalgam and urged the party youth members and the new entrants to establish a strong contact with the general public for redressing public grievances at doorsteps.”
