Normal life crippled in Bijbehara

Srinagar, Jul 31: Normal life was on Wednesday crippled in parts of south Kashmir district of Anantnag, where a top Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) commander was among two militants killed in an encounter security forces on Tuesday.
A police official on Wednesday said that security forces have been deployed in Bijbehara and adjoining areas in Anantnag to maintain law and order.
Shops and business establishments were closed and traffic was off the roads in Bijbehara and adjoining areas in Anantnag on Wednesday.
However, situation elsewhere in Anantnag was normal with business and other activities going on normally and traffic plying on all routes.
Two JeM militants, including top commander Fayaz Panzoo, were killed in an encounter on Tuesday which ensued after a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) was launched by Special Operations Group (SOG) of state police, Army and CRPF in village Katoo, Bijbehara in Anantnag.
