Engineers announce two day protest

Srinagar, Aug 1: Graduate engineers of Jammu and Kashmir have decided to go on two days peaceful Pen down/ Tool down strike from August 6 and 7 in all the three divisions against the non-serious attitude of the government in resolving the long pending issues.
“The J&K State Joint Action of Gradual Engineers has decided to go on peaceful Pen down/ Tool down strike on 6th August and on 7th August in all the three divisions,” said Graduate Engineers Association in a press statement.
“In valley all Engineers will assemble in PWD Engineering Complex Rajbagh, were from a peaceful rally will move towards Civil Secretariat, to once again impress up on the Government for early issuance of SRO for Cabinet approved ACP Scheme, One time Regularization at all levels, Clarification of SRO 42, Enhancement of F.T.A from Rs 30 per month to rational and logical figure for site Engineers. The Engineers should use Banners and placards of SJAC in all offices to show their resentment,” said the statement.
