District Admin Pulwama refutes news item about shifting of School

 

Srinagar, Aug 1: The district administration Pulwama has categorically refuted the narrative/ fake news being circulated in the social media that a school in Chandgam has been shifted to some other place.
District administration has appealed to the general public to not pay any heed to such misleading and divisive news. Senior officials from the administration further clarified that Primary school Kumar Mohalla has been identified to temporarily house the Jawahar Novadaya Vidyalaya Pulwama to make this national project functional in the district and allow the people of the district to reap its fruit as is currently being done by people in all other districts of the state.
Pertinently,68 kanals of land has already been identified for JNV pulwama at village Navnagri, lying in close proximity to Chandgam. He further added that JNVs are not run by any other agency but by the school education department and has been in the forefront of nurturing talent in the youth in all its myriad forms. After the bifurcation of Pulwama District ,the JNV located at Aglar became a part of recently created Shopain District and interim arrangements were made by District Administration Pulwama to accommodate the students falling in Pulwama District .
After the tireless efforts of Deputy Commissioner Pulwama 68 Kanals have been identified and transferred for the JNV Pulwama at Nownagri.
JNVs is a system of alternate schools for gifted children under the autonomous control of Ministry of Human Resources and Development. JNVs are specifically tasked with the finding of talented children in rural areas throughout the country and providing them with an education equalent to best residential schools without regard to families sociology economic condition.
Further District administration is committed towards the goal of quality , sustainable and equitable education to all and anyone with a counter agenda of spreading baseless rumors and propaganda shall be aptly dealt with.
