DGP thanks Governor for enhancing hardship allowance, ration money for policemen

Srinagar, Aug 1: Director General of Police (DGP) Dilbag Singh on Thursday thanked Governor Satya Pal Malik for enhancing ration money and hardship allowance for Jammu and Kashmir Police Personnel.
A police spokesperson said that Singh on behalf of all ranks of Jammu and Kashmir Police thanked Mr Malik and his administration for enhancing ration money and hardship allowance for Jammu and Kashmir Police Personnel.
The decision was taken during a meeting of State Administrative Council (SAC), which was chaired by Governor Satya Pal Malik on Wednesday night.
The SAC approved enhancement in Hardship Allowance of J&K Police personnel from existing 8 per cent to 10 per cent of the basic pay for all the ranks with effect from August 1, 2019.
The SAC also accorded sanction to the enhancement of Ration Money Allowance in favor of non-gazetted Police personnel from the existing Rs 2000 to Rs 2500 per month with effect from August 1, 2019.
