Six persons become victim of fresh dog bites in Uri

Uri, Jul 11: At least six people were injured, when they were bitten by dogs in Uri town of North Baramulla district on Thursday morning.
“Six people were bitten by stray dogs at Dawaran area which included a woman and a 70-year-old man” said a police official.
They were immediately shifted to the sub-district hospital Uri for treatment; out of which two have been referred to Srinagar for advanced treatment.
The Injured were identified the injured as Mohammad Ashraf aged 70, Arbaz Ahmed aged 13 Dawood Ahmed, Amina Bano and Tanzeel and Binya Amin.
According to Government statistics of 2018 a number of 30,711 dog bite cases were reported in Srinagar alone during the last six years.
