MP Namgyal thanks PM, Governor for making Ladakh division fully functional

Srinagar, Jul 4: Member Parliament from Ladakh Jamyang Tsering Namgyal has expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and State Administrative Council headed by Governor Satya Pal Malik for granting divisional status and according approval for the creation of 495 posts of various categories for the newly-created administrative unit of Ladakh division.
Namgyal said that with the establishment of different offices in the region, a long pending demand of the people has been fulfilled which will lead to a new era of development and sense of satisfaction among the people of Ladakh division as it will give recognition to its unique identity.
In a significant decision, the SAC approved creation of 12 Directors, four Chief Engineers, four Joint Directors, Chief Conservator of Forests, Regional Wildlife Officer and 470 posts of supporting staff for the districts of Leh and Kargil of the Ladakh division.
