BJP holds marathon meetings on membership drive at Jammu, Udhampur

Jammu, Jun 30: Bharatiya Janata Party, Jammu & Kashmir held marathon meetings concentrated at party’s forthcoming programme of membership drive at party, headquarter, Trikuta Nagar and party office, Udhampur.
Meetings were attended by BJP State Office Bearers, former Ministers, former MLAs, State Executive Members, State Morcha Presidents, District Incharges, District Presidents, Mandal Presidents, Mandal Morcha Presidents and Membership Drive Incharges & Co-Incharges for Districts and Mandals.
BJP State President Ravinder Raina, chaired the meeting held at BJP headquarter, Trikuta Nagar which witnessed the participation of BJP leaders from party’s 5 organizational districts namely Jammu, Jammu West, Jammu Rural, Akhnoor and RS Pura. Another district comprising of party leaders from displaced Kashmiri Samaaj also participated in the meeting. Former Dy. CM Kavinder Gupta, former State President & former Minister Sat Sharma, party State General Secretary Dr. Narinder Singh, State Incharge for membership drive Jugal Dogra, state co-incharge for membership drive Priya Sethi (former MoS) also addressed the meeting.
State Vice-President & JMC Councillor Parmod Kapahi, Former Ministers Sham Choudhary, Sukhnandan Choudhary, Sham Sharma, former VC Munish Sharma, Arvind Gupta, Veenu Khanna, Bharat Bhushan, Durga Das, Ashwani, Brijesh Rana, Ayodhya Gupta, Omi Khajuria, Chand ji Bhat and others were amongst the prominent BJP leaders present in the meeting. Meeting proceedings were carried out by Dr. Narinder Singh.
Similarly, BJP State General Secretary Yudhvir Sethi chaired the meeting conducted at Udhampur, which was attended by party leaders from party’s 2 organizational Districts namely Udhampur and Reasi. Party State Vice-President Pawan Khajuria and Former Minister Ajay Nanda also addressed the meeting.
BJP State Addl. Publicity Secretary Arun Chibber, State Executive Member Somraj Khajuria, Baldev, District Presidents Kuldeep Dubey, Rakesh Gupta, Sarabjit, Pardeep, Vikas, Chaman, Anoop and other senior leaders of party participated in the meeting.
Ravinder Raina, while addressing the meeting, laid thrust on the relevance of direct communication of Prime Minister Narendra Modi with masses in “Mann Ki Baat” programme. He discussed the ways of water conservation and topics like rain water harvesting and relevance of ponds in retaining water table level of ground.
Raina, also spoke at length on the “Sangathan Parv” and “Membership Drive” as its 1st leg, while laying down complete programme to take this membership drive to the booths. He said that we must be focussed on how to convert the vote share party has earned during the Lok Sabha elections into the party’s active membership. He instructed all the party leaders to progress ahead with the mission mode for achieving the target put forth by the party to attain 17 lakh members of BJP in the state.
Ravinder Raina, further said that we have made tremendous run so far, but our eyes and the focus must be fixed on to score minimum of 50 Assembly seats in the state. He maintained that the era of development has initiated under the strong present dispensation of Centre government headed by Modi ji, which has raised the hopes of J&K residents too and cited the examples of much talked projects like Gandola, extension of reservation benefits to J&K, benefits to border dwellers, Metro rail projects and many others.
