Tarigami, Hakeem, Laigaroo express grief

 

Srinagar, Jun 27: Senior CPI(M) leader and former legislator Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami has expressed deep shock and grief over the fatal road accident in Peer Ki Gali area on the historic Mughal road in south Kashmir’s Shopian district in which reportedly eleven persons died and many others were injured.
While expressing solidarity with the bereaved, he demanded ex-gratia relief for the victim families and free of cost treatment to those injured in the accident.
Chairman PDF Hakeem Yaseen has expressed his profound grief and sorrow over the tragic road accident in Peer Ki Gali, on Mughal road in which eleven students, nine of them girls, were killed and seven others were injured after an excursion (vehicle) Tempo Traveller they were on board skidded off the road on Thursday
In a statement, Hakeem Yaseen has conveyed his heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved families.
Hakeem Yaseen has castigated traffic police for its failure to check traffic accidents in various parts of the state. He said concerned officers of the traffic police should be brought to book for laxity in their duty.
He said hardly any day passes when there is no report of a traffic accident on National Highways of Jammu, Chenab valley and Peer Panchal.
He said dilapidated condition of roads was another cause of day to day road accidents. He has ridiculed the administration for its failure to macadamize roads in various areas of the state after the recent winter. He said commuters as well as vehicle drivers are facing tremendous hardships due to bad condition of roads.
Meanwhile, PDP youth secretary Arif Laigaroo has expressed profound grief over the loss of eleven precious lives in an near Peer Ki Gali in Shopian District.
Laigaroo expressed profound grief over the loss of eleven precious lives including nine girls and described it as highly unfortunate and painful.
“I am very much pained after I heard about the loss of precious lives in a tragic accident, my deepest condolences to bereaved families. I pray for speedy recovery of injured people,” he said. “I express my solidarity with the bereaved families and pray for eternal peace to departed soul.”
