Tractor driver killed, another injured in Ganderbal


Srinagar, Jun 26: A driver was killed and another person was injured when a tractor turned turtle in central Kashmir district of Ganderbal Tuesdy night, official sources said here Wednesday.
They said a tractor from Gangangeer Sonamarg to Gund on Srinagar-Leh national highway skidded off the road and turned turtle at main market Gund.
They said two persons identified as 28-year-old Reyaz Ahmad Bhat, who was driving the tractor and Muzaffar Ahmad Bhat (24) were trapped under the vehicle. However, locals present in the market immediately rescued and shifted them to local hospital where Reyaz was declared brought dead. Muzaffar was later referred to S K Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) in a critical condition.
They said police have registered a case at police station Gund in this connection and have taken up the investigation.
